Con un tama\u00f1o de 5 a 10 mil\u00edmetros, su cabeza alargada y su cuerpo anguloso le otorgan un perfil afilado que lo distingue de otros chinches de contorno m\u00e1s redondeado. Con tonalidades pajizas y finas rayas marrones a lo largo del cuerpo, este chinche es un verdadero maestro del camuflaje entre la hierba seca y las gram\u00edneas. Utilizando su pico chupador, se alimenta de las semillas maduras durante los meses de verano. Para sobrevivir a los fr\u00edos inviernos del norte, se refugia en densas matas de hierba o bajo la hojarasca hasta la llegada de la primavera. Ante cualquier amenaza, recurre a la defensa cl\u00e1sica de su familia: \u00a1liberar una sustancia de olor fuerte para ahuyentar a los depredadores! Por una extraordinaria casualidad fotogr\u00e1fica, me top\u00e9 con este vistoso ejemplar cerca de Akalla, Suecia, \u00a1solo una hora antes de fotografiar a la diminuta mosca par\u00e1sita
