Found across Central and South America, these wasps are easily recognized by their distinct antennae, which thicken noticeably past the middle before tapering, and their high-contrast warning colors of bright orange, yellow, and black. Despite being known to science for over two centuries, their exact host preferences remain largely mysterious.
