Con sus piezas bucales en forma de aguja, perforan tallos, hojas y ramas para acceder a estos fluidos. El exceso de savia se excreta como melaza, que atrae a las hormigas de colonias cercanas. Esto crea una relaci\u00f3n de beneficio mutuo: las hormigas se alimentan de la melaza y, a cambio, protegen al membr\u00e1cido de posibles depredadores. Este peque\u00f1o diablito verde (<em>Archasia belfragei<\/em>) se asemeja mucho a una hoja, una forma eficaz de mimetismo que le ayuda a permanecer oculto. Tom\u00e9 esta foto durante una de mis primeras salidas fotogr\u00e1ficas, con mi primer equipo. Aunque la imagen no es tan n\u00edtida como me hubiera gustado, tuve la suerte de capturar la interacci\u00f3n entre el membr\u00e1cido y la hormiga sobre un fondo con diferentes tonalidades de
