Distribuidos principalmente por Centroam\u00e9rica y Sudam\u00e9rica, estos chinches son un ejemplo perfecto de aposematismo: utilizan tonos brillantes y contrastados para advertir a los depredadores de que son altamente t\u00f3xicos o de un sabor repugnante. Al igual que otros chinches verdaderos, las especies de <em>Paryphes<\/em> cuentan con un aparato bucal picador-chupador especializado para alimentarse de la savia de las plantas, las flores y las semillas en desarrollo. Captur\u00e9 a esta incre\u00edble ninfa durante mi primer\u00edsima expedici\u00f3n al Parque Nacional Yasun\u00ed, en la selva amaz\u00f3nica. Se convirti\u00f3 al instante en mi fotograf\u00eda favorita de todo el viaje; tanto es as\u00ed que fue el fondo de pantalla de mi tel\u00e9fono m\u00f3vil durante varios
