En lugar de tejer las tradicionales telara\u00f1as para atrapar a sus presas, operan como cazadoras diurnas activas que acechan en silencio y se abalanzan sobre los insectos con una precisi\u00f3n incre\u00edble. Poseen ocho ojos en total, dominados por dos enormes ojos primarios frontales que les otorgan un tierno aspecto de &#8220;ojos de ciervo&#8221; junto con la visi\u00f3n m\u00e1s aguda de cualquier invertebrado, lo que les permite percibir colores vibrantes y juzgar la profundidad con exactitud. Antes de ejecutar un salto, anclan un &#8220;hilo de seguridad&#8221; de seda a la superficie, una l\u00ednea de vida vital para amortiguar una ca\u00edda o permitirles trepar r\u00e1pidamente de regreso si fallan el tiro. Me cruc\u00e9 con este vistoso ejemplar, probablemente perteneciente al g\u00e9nero <em>Amycus<\/em>, mientras se mov\u00eda lentamente sobre una hoja grande. Su ritmo inusualmente pausado me permiti\u00f3 capturar algunas de las mejores fotograf\u00edas macro de mis primer\u00edsimas excursiones.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Las
