Unlike most of their Lycosid cousins that roam freely as active hunters, this species weaves complex, horizontal, non-adhesive sheet-and-funnel webs to capture prey. To construct their expansive snares, they perform unique spinneret movements unseen in other wolf spiders; they lay down wide &#8220;swaths&#8221; of silk lines to bridge distant objects and manipulate their spinnerets like a comb to shape the web.
