Olv\u00eddense de quedarse sentados esperando a que el almuerzo caiga en una red; estos tipos son depredadores activos y veloces que persiguen a sus objetivos usando pura velocidad y una visi\u00f3n espectacular. Con ocho ojos dispuestos en tres filas, cuentan con dos enormes ojos centrales dise\u00f1ados para apuntar con precisi\u00f3n. Sus ojos m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os contienen una capa reflectante llamada tapetum lucidum, lo que hace que brillen como diminutos diamantes cuando los ilumina una linterna por la noche. Cuando no est\u00e1n corriendo tras los insectos, acechan cerca de madrigueras subterr\u00e1neas ocultas, esperando para emboscar a cualquier cosa que pase. Pero su verdadero salto a la fama es su dedicaci\u00f3n a la maternidad: las hembras arrastran su saco de huevos de seda a todas partes, sujeto directamente a sus hileras. Una vez que las cr\u00edas nacen, se suben a la espalda de su madre, atestando su abdomen durante semanas como si fuera una diminuta minivan viviente. A pesar de su intimidante velocidad y su robusta anatom\u00eda, estos forzudos son en realidad bastante t\u00edmidos e inofensivos para los humanos.
