Poster (in English) presented on the International Jena Symposium on Tick-Borne Diseases (IPS 2007)

A pilot study in Silesia province of Poland, later extended to 11 provinces. We offered to hospital wards the oportunity to test undiagnosed central nervous system infections for tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) antibodies. Such systematic approach enables a better documentation of TBE endemic foci, by confirming the absence of disease, eventually by finding undected TBE infections.
