I am a medical epidemiologist and educator. I earned my medical degree in 1998 from Warsaw Medical University, where I also completed my PhD and postdoctoral training. In 2014, I completed a two‑year Master of Science in Epidemiology at the State University of New York in Albany. I currently work at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Stockholm, Sweden, where my work focuses on monitoring vaccine‑preventable diseases and supporting immunisation programmes. Details of my professional career are available on my LinkedIn profile.
For most of my career, I worked as an epidemiologist in public health institutions in Poland and Norway. During this time, I was closely involved in field epidemiology training programmes such as EPIET and MediPIET, where I shared my experience with early‑career colleagues. Through my website, I aim to tell the story of my journey in public health research by presenting each of my scientific contributions. What I value most from this work is the opportunity to continuously learn and to collaborate with hundreds of experts from around the world. I have tried to reflect these experiences in the short descriptions accompanying each item.
