An important paper, summarising tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) seroprevalence in Poland - both ongoing project and historic data. We documented that the proportion of persons who had contact with the TBE virus did not differ between so-called "endemic" (where many cases are reported each year) and non-endemic areas, which are considered disease-free because no cases are reported. It was presented on an international conference on tick-borne diseases and published in a supplement of a reputable journal. Although it was first indexed in PubMed, it was removed from the index few years later because of a policy change (no manuscripts published in journal supplements). I am proud of this publication, since it is well written, peer-reviewed and quite widely cited!
