This was the largest research project for our young team, in terms of budget, human resources, etc. For more than 12 months we recruited patients of 77 general practitioners, with symptoms of prolonged cough who were subsequently tested for pertussis. It could have a much higher impact if we would have a better laboratory support. Anyway, I am quite pround of this work. The project was organised professionally, it had its own website and logo (on the poster) and was led by young enthousiastic team of young researchers. Most of these brilliant colleagues unfortunately left the Polish institute later on and continued successful careers elsewhere.
