The EPIET Scientific Seminar was a teaching conference, organised low scale for EPIET fellows, participants of the current EPIET introductory course and European epidemiologists involved with the programme as supervisors or training site representatives. This Seminar was organised after my first 3-week introductory course I was facilitating, held in Menorca, Spain. I gladly accepted the invitation to this conference, since it was an opportunity to meet excellent epidemiologists from all around Europe. I presented two posters, including this interesting analysis of screening for Salmonella infections and its potential use in the validation of passive surveillance function.
