Enhanced surveillance was implemented by offering free TBE testing to physicians from 146 hospital wards. The study documented that in regions already recognized as endemic, physicians were more likely to suspect TBE and request serological testing. In contrast, physicians practicing in areas considered non-endemic were less likely to suspect the disease and refer patients for testing.

This study was an important outcome of a series of investigations documenting a kind of self-perpetuating diagnostic bias, whereby the apparent absence of TBE reflected limited testing rather than true absence. As a result of this investigation, 38 new endemic districts were identified. These findings underscored the importance of consistent testing practices and increased physician awareness to accurately assess TBE risk and to inform evidence-based vaccination policies.

["post-1102","publikacje","type-publikacje","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
