My first kit had a more compact camera body (Nikon 1) but because it did not have a dedicated macro lens, I had an F-mount lens with an adapter. Thus, it needed more work with setting up and it was more challenging to take sharp pictures. The advantage was paradoxically the crop factor of the Nikon 1. With the 2x magnification of the Laowa lens, it enabled very nice framing of very small objects, like 5-mm bugs. But any small movement, any subtle shake of the hand could ruin a picture. I took a few nice pictures with my first kit, but when the Nikon 105 mm lens came out, I could not resist acquiring it together with the new Nikon Z camera. After some experimenting with settings, I was able to take my nicest photos đĨŗ For some time, I was carrying both kits, but it was much too heavy and the first kit is archived for the momentâĻ
